Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Cobalt Reef LLC (“Cobalt Reef”, “we”, “us”) handles information on this website,www.cobaltreef.com, and in our Orphie app for iPhone and Android. The short version: Orphie keeps your information on your phone, and we don’t collect it.

Orphie

What Orphie keeps, and where

Orphie stores all of this on your phone. It has no account and no sign-in, and it makes no network requests, so the app never sends your records to Cobalt Reef or anyone else. We have no server that holds your data, so we can’t see, sell, or share it.

Location

Orphie asks for location access so it can count miles during a shift, including while your screen is locked. It uses location only while a shift is running and stops when you pause or end the shift. It doesn’t track you between shifts. You can turn location access off at any time in your phone’s settings; Orphie can’t log miles without it.

No tracking, ads, or analytics

Orphie contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software, and it doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Backups made by your phone

Your phone’s own backup service, such as iCloud Backup on iPhone or Android Backup through your Google account, may include Orphie’s data if you have it turned on. Those backups belong to your Apple or Google account and are covered by their privacy policies. Cobalt Reef can’t access them.

Keeping and deleting your data

Orphie keeps saved shifts exactly as they were recorded, so the app doesn’t let you edit or delete them. That’s what makes a mileage log useful at tax time. You can delete a vehicle that has no shifts. To erase all of Orphie’s data from your phone, delete the app. Copies in your phone’s own backups are removed by deleting those backups.

Future features

If a future version of Orphie handles your information differently, for example to export files, back up to your own cloud storage, or sell a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, we’ll update this policy before that version is released.

This website

www.cobaltreef.com is hosted by Cloudflare. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and its fonts are served from this site. Cloudflare may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested, to keep the site running and secure.

The support form

When you send the form on our support page, we receive the topic you chose, your email address, your message, and your name if you give one. It reaches us as an email sent through Cloudflare’s email service. We use it only to reply to you and keep a record of the conversation, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.

To keep out spam, the support page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a script from Cloudflare and uses signals from your browser to check that a person is sending the form. The Turnstile privacy addendum explains what it processes.

Sold By Robots and QuickBooks Sync

Sold By Robots and QuickBooks Sync are business software that merchants use by invitation. They’re not covered by this policy. How they handle merchant and order data is set out in the agreement and privacy notice each merchant receives before they get access.

Children

Our products are made for adults who work, and they aren’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and requests

Because Orphie’s data stays on your phone, you control it directly: you can see it in the app and delete it by deleting the app. For any question or request about your information, including requests under privacy laws where you live, send us a message and choose “Privacy request”. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change affects how an app handles your information, we’ll publish it before the version that makes the change.
